The Tabot Centre provides excellent and affordable out-of-school hours services, which meet the needs of children and young people, their parents and carers. We work in partnership with parents, carers, the local authority and other agencies to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for children, encouraging them to play, learn and develop their character and their confidence.
We collect your child from school each day, and provide them with a snack, fruit and a drink. They take part in various activities, such as art and crafts, cooking, computer and board games, team games and quizzes. We encourage them to complete homework and wherever possible they go on off site visits. We collect children for our after school club from neighbouring schools:
Est since 1985, we provide correct teaching for the Rastafari community, a place of fellowship and collective thanksgiving to God, in spirit and truth.
We are open every Saturday for street dance open classes for children aged from 4 years old upwards. Your child will learn dance routines, improve their overall fitness and have opportunities to take part in performances and competitions throughout the year. We also run a tuck shop on site providing hot snacks, ice creams and drinks. The classes last for 60 minutes but your child is welcome to stay and socialise after their class is over.
The Tabot fitness system is a unique to the area in that it offers affordable fitness to the younger members and the woman of the local community. It gives all ages the chance to improve their fitness levels whilst having fun at the time. The Tabot fitness system is design to increase the stamina, strength, flexibility and health of all the participants regardless of current fitness levels. Programmes are delivered with optimum benefit to the younger people and ladies exerciser in the mind. All sessions are supervised good form and technique is a must cardiovascular is always encouraged and the benefits of regular exercise for a healthier lifestyle are always pointed out. Above all, workouts are in a safe, friendly and fun envirounment for all to enjoy.
Tabot Entertainment deals with the art form of animation. A total of four projects have surfaced from it, over the past years two of these projects had to be shelved, the remaining two are in production. The aim is not to do nice colourful little animations with no purpose, but to tell a story with meaning and merit which children will consider, inspiring them to grow-up to be good responsible people. The current projects are Hymanot and De-luscious. |
