Negest

Month of the Prosperous

Negest 1st—30th 87HIM 31st May—29th June 2018

Empress Menen Wallatta Giyorgis

Her Imperial Majesty Empress Menen Queen Wallatta Georges

The month of Negest is founded on the coronation of Her Imperial Majesty Empress Menen Queen Wallatta Georges on November 2nd 1930 as she shared in the glory and revelation of her husband His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie 1st. In times past the procedure for the enthronement of the Empress Consort was very different. Then, it was the Emperor who placed the crown upon her head, in a separate ceremony outside of the church, which occurred on the third day after the coronation of the Emperor. On this occasion Empress Menen Queen Wallatta Georges was crowned by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church on the same day as the coronation of the Emperor in a joint ceremony. This was a new work of God as the Empress was empowered with the coming divine heritage of God, becoming the Covenant Queen of His Imperial Majesty’s Glory as she personified ‘New Jerusalem’ in spirit and truth, the wife of The Lord and His glory. (Revelation 19:7-9; Revelation 21:9-11; HIM Autobiography, chp 28, last paragraph).

Coronation of Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen

The fruit of Negest (Queen) speaks of the bride of Christ, the prosperous ‘New Jerusalem’ and the faithful who reap the promises and fruit of the wonderful bride of The Lord. As the spiritual children of the King of kings we enter into the livity of the divine heritage as we are empowered, in spirit and truth and in covenant, to partake of the revelation life of the Covenant Queen of His Imperial Majesty’s Glory, ‘New Jerusalem’. (Revelation 22:1-5, Revelation 22:17)
